My goodness, forgive me for only just now replying to all these beautiful comments that you’ve left. I learned today that my resident “tech expert” over here on my end has been approving comments, and forgetting to mention it to me for a couple months. *shakes head and rolls eyes* Guess this explains why my site always tells me I have “zero new comments”…it thinks *I* already read them.
Well, at least it’s an easy problem to fix!

I’m glad you appreciated that moment with Sinir. Loki needed to hear it, and Sin needed to “say” it. “One horse, one rider, for life” is the Asgardian way in this trilogy, after all. Loki *is* his father in a way. And after losing Fenrir in Fallen, I felt that this moment between Sin and Loki had even more significance.
As for smoke and ice–I agree! I get so excited envisioning what Sig and Loki’s magic would look like on a battlefield, and trying to describe it visually is a JOB. (not really a “job”…more like…me whining to myself that I can’t make it sound cool enough XD)
I’m glad you still like “green is for life” because I’m not done using it yet. 😉

You might find this interesting: Sig was born in 1988, so I think you’re technically her age. 😉 But setting that aside, even though it’s a prequel set in 2017, I think Neon feels like it’s a story playing out “right now” in real time, so I agree that Loki being 33 absolutely IS something you have in common with him! 🙂
His birthday in this fic series has been 17 Feb 1983, which is mentioned in chapter 1 on the “intake form” he had filled out for his doctor.

If he were real (I WISH), he would be 38 “now” in 2021. It’s interesting to have to backtrack in my own mind after having spent all of 2020 writing him as 36, to then have to reimagine him as being a younger 33. Not to mention, trying to recall how life was before COVID, especially in NYC! Ugh, I’m gonna get all choked up.
Anyway. 2017 Loki is giving me ALL kinds of EXTRA GOOD feels.
Boy is still moody as hell, but in an exciting CRAZY SMITTEN way this time around.
